  • Grant Baechler
    U10 Coed Travel Team
    On behalf of the AMSA Board of Directors we want to congratulate our 2018 Travel Coach of the Year Grant Baechler! Grant brings a lifetime of fastpitch softball experience to our association and has used that to help guide our U10 Travel group. His dedication to the kids resulted in a team of players developing and coming together beyond all expectations. Always teaching but still keeping it fun, Grant is a great role for our players and parents alike. Thank you Grant!

    U10 Coed Local League
    On behalf of the AMSA Board of Directors we want to congratulate our 2018 Local League Coach of the Year Chris DeVos! Chris has become a dependable and respected coach in the association. Always willing to help out, he has been a positive influence on many young players who are just being introduced to the sport. He works hard teaching the game to our kids and putting smiles on their faces while doing it. Thank you Chris!

    U14 Girls Travel Team
    Congratulations to our 2017 AMSA Travel Team Coach of the Year, Mark Hall. Mark was new to AMSA this year although he brought plenty of prior experience from coaching his own kids through minor sports. He led our U14 Girls Travel team to a terrific season where they exceeded even their own expectations in both development and success on the field. Mark's patience and persistence brought out the best in his players and helped to build a true team. Great job Mark!

    Trimite U8 Local League
    Congratulations to our 2017 AMSA Local League Coach of the Year, Jason Querin from the Trimite (U8) program! Jason demonstrated the coaching virtues of patience and understanding with his young softball players to create a fun, learning environment. Jason also gave his time to help with setup and cleanup for the Trimite practices each Saturday. Great job Jason

    Richard has coached several season in our Local League program and always been a very positive influence on his players. Several of these players have credited him with keeping them in the game and helping to develop their skills. Patience, calmness and a love of the sport have been hallmarks of his coaching.
