Our Coed U10 Local League program plays modified softball games (
view rules here). Players pitch to their opponents but there are no walks. After 3 balls, the coach of the batting team will finish the strike count to their own players. This enables the pitchers to develop while allowing batters the chance to hit and fielders the maximum experience in their positions.
