  • Mathew Sherk
    Grounds Crew
    On behalf of the AMSA Board of Directors we want to congratulate our 2018 Youth Volunteer of the Year Mathew Sherk! Mathew was our lead groundskeeper at Victoria Park this year and was responsible for ensuring the diamonds were lined, raked and set up to play each day. Throughout the hottest summer heat he was out there every afternoon. Mathew is also a Jr Umpire with AMSA as well as playing on the U16 Travel Team. Thanks Mathew!

    On behalf of the AMSA Board of Directors we want to congratulate our 2018 Volunteer of the Year Kristin Brodhaecker! Kristin is a former executive member and continues to contribute as a parent volunteer. She is always willing to take on team responsibilities by managing two teams. We thank Kristin for all of her contributions to AMSA.

    On behalf of the AMSA Board of Directors we want to congratulate our 2018 Volunteers of the Year Rick Gervais! Rick is an experienced player who brings his knowledge to help teach kids the game. Helping whenever he can, we can always count on Rick to assist with spring and winter training as well as with multiple teams throughout the year. Thank you Rick!

    U10 Coed Travel
    On behalf of the AMSA Board of Directors we want to congratulate our 2018 Travel Coach of the Year Grant Baechler! Grant brings a lifetime of fastpitch softball experience to our association and has used that to help guide our U10 Travel group. His dedication to the kids resulted in a team of players developing and coming together beyond all expectations. Always teaching but still keeping it fun, Grant is a great role for our players and parents alike. Thank you Grant!

    On behalf of the AMSA Board of Directors we want to congratulate our 2018 Local League Coach of the Year Chris DeVos! Chris has become a dependable and respected coach in the association. Always willing to help out, he has been a positive influence on many young players who are just being introduced to the sport. He works hard teaching the game to our kids and putting smiles on their faces while doing it. Thank you Chris!

Andrew has quickly worked his way up through the ranks and has become a dedicated and dependable official. He can often be found umpiring at other centres around the area as well as Victoria Park. Congratulations Andrew and keep up the great work!
