AMSA strongly believes that the success of the organization will be a result of the ability of our coaches to teach the game to our players. We are working hard to provide all of our coaches with the tools they need to succeed in this important task. How to Become an AMSA Coach
Step 1.
Fill out Coach Application (forms available online or download and print a hard copy from the website)
Step 2.
Complete and submit Vulnerable Sector Criminal Background Check (cost will be refunded by AMSA)
Form must be filled out and taken to the police department with jurisdiction over your home address.

Step 3.
Complete required AMSA training
- For Learn-to-Play and Trimite: Each coach must take the LTP course within the last two years. You must attend this course prior to becoming a coach with AMSA.
- For U10 and above: Sign up for training sessions online. All head coaches must have taken each course within the last two years. Assistants (includes all on-field and bench staff) must have taken each course within the last three years.
Step 4.
Receive coaching approval from AMSA Board of Directors. Applicants will be notified by a representative of the Board of Directors.
