Introduction

2021 Softball Registration

The 2021 softball season (and warmer weather) will be here soon.  We are hoping to be able to go ahead with a season this year. To provide a safe season to our participants and spectators, we plan to follow the Softball Ontario return to play guidelines as well as the following.

  • Socially distant player benches and spectators.
  • All players, coaches, umpires and spectators will be required to wear masks and sanitize hands frequently.
  • Shared equipment will be sanitized between groups.
  • All players, coaches, umpires and spectators will require screening.
  • Numbers will be capped based on public health guidelines.

Registration for Ayr Minor Softball is now open for players in all age groups. It will look a little different this year.  You will register your child by age group and select your comfort level for location(s) and level of play for your child. Please register before March 31st if possible as we will decide which leagues have sufficient interest to go ahead in the first week of April.

Payments will not be accepted until the season is confirmed. Once this happens, we will provide all of the information we typically provide including fees, days/time and location of play based on the numbers of the kids registered.  You will then have two weeks to make your final decision about play and provide payment to be eligible for the Early Bird rate.  Note that our fees will be similar or lower than previous years depending on the format of season we can have. For budgeting purposes, Early Bird fees for a typical season are noted below.

  • Learn to Play $55
  • Trimite/U8 $85
  • U10 Local League $110
  • U12/U14/U16-18 Local League $130
  • U10/U12/U14 Travel $170
  • U16/U19/U21 Travel $190

More information on each age group is available on Our Leagues page. Please note that based on the final format of our season, the days, times and locations may change for each group.

Please feel free to forward this web page link to anyone you think might be interested in playing softball this summer.  It is never too late to start playing ball!  It is our goal to develop fun leagues for all age groups so that all kids will have an opportunity to enjoy the sport of softball, regardless of experience or skill level.
